With a full offseason of offseason work ahead of them, the Chicago Bulls have a busy offseason ahead of it.
The team has the most cap space available in free agency, with a whopping $102 million in cap space.
However, they also have the most important free agent on their books.
Derrick Rose is reportedly set to re-sign with the Bulls and will be a big part of the future of the team.
Rose will be in the Bulls locker room for the first time since being traded from the Los Angeles Clippers to the Chicago Hornets in the summer of 2017.
Rose was originally signed by the Los Angles Clippers as a free agent in 2018, and he signed a contract extension that was signed after the 2019 season.
Although Rose’s deal was relatively lucrative, the contract was one of the highest in the league at the time.
Rose made an average of $20 million per year with the Los Lons Clippers, and that money was due to the franchise’s salary cap.
However when the Clippers went into free agency in 2019, they were looking to free up cap space and to add depth to their roster.
The Los Angeles Lakers also had the ability to move up and sign Rose, and they also had some options with the rights to his contract.
Rose’s contract included a $10 million signing bonus and a $1 million player option for 2021.
At the time, it seemed like the Los Angels Clippers would be a good fit for Rose, especially as he was entering the prime of his career.
Rose was a versatile player who could shoot, pass and defend multiple positions.
He was a threat in the paint, and his ability to get to the rim would be valuable as a defender as well.
He also was a key piece in Los Angeles’ transition offense, which was a major part of their success last season.
However Rose also had a difficult relationship with head coach Luke Walton, who had a history of firing coaches and players in his first year in Los Angelas.
As of right now, the Los Angeles Clippers still have the option of trading Rose, but they are unlikely to do so due to their cap space limitations.
The LA Lakers also have some options on the roster as well, and their top priority is to acquire a veteran center.
However that is something they will have to wait until 2019, when the cap will have increased.
Chicago has the second-highest amount of cap space in the NBA, with $82.5 million available, which could be used to sign Rose.
While Chicago has the potential to land a big name in Rose, they will need to find a new center to complement their star guard.
Chicago will also have to decide whether they want to keep Derrick Rose or let him walk.
For now, Rose is still the top center in the entire NBA, but his time is coming to an end.
He will be 30 years old in 2019 and the Bulls will need him to be the best player on the team for the foreseeable future.
